Communication Technology Program

1. Communication Technology Program focuses on the role the ever-changing communication technologies plays in every facet of human communication, in particular the interactions between communication and technology as well as their social impact. Students will learn to analyze diverse communication phenomena with the knowledge of multi-discipline theories and the use of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Students will further learn message design and evaluation so that they can design digital content to achieve effective communication. There are two modules for this program:

(1) Strategic Communication: In this module, we regard communication as persuasion. We explore strategies used in the process of persuasion and their effects on individuals, organization, the public and society.

(2) Human-Computer Interaction: In this module, we are concerned of digitally mediated communication. Students will learn digital content design; its usefulness and effectiveness

Communication Technology Program is designed by the Department of Communication and Technology. All Students of NCTU are welcome to take the program and will be awarded a certificate after completing 18 credits.
